ABOUT THE PROGRAMME- MBA (First Shift)

The systems and processes at the Institute are designed for integrated growth of students encompassing academic excellence and development of professional & life skills. APPROVAL & AFFILIATION

The two-year MBA programme conducted at Gitarattan International Business School is approved by “All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)”, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The norms and standards, as laid down by the AICTE for the quality, viz infrastructure, faculty, computer hardware & software and library etc; are followed by the Institute.

The Directorate of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) has granted “No Objection Certificate” for conducting MBA at the Institute. For the award of degree, the Institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.MBA programme at Gitarattan is conducted in two shifts, namely, MBA (First Shift) and MBA (Second Shift).

INTAKE & RESERVATION

AICTE approved intake for MBA (First Shift) is 180. The reservation policy of Govt of NCT of Delhi is applied for allocation of seats to various categories. The reservation policy stipulates 10% seats for “Management Quota”. Out of the remaining 90%, 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Further reservation for specific categories is as per the guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

Any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
or

Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The admissions are carried out strictly on merit basis first through Common Admission Test (CAT) by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) than by  Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) by National Testing Agency (NTA) & after that by Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. For general and reserved categories, the University conducts central counselling for all the colleges affiliated with it for 90% seats except for management quota seats. Students are required to choose the college/institute during the counselling. For application forms the students are to respond to the advertisement by the University or its website www.ipu.ac.in. The Institute conducts admission for 10% management quota seats as per the guidelines by Government of NCT of Delhi.

EXAMINATION & EVALUATION

Institute follows the curriculum as laid down by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The examination and evaluation is carried out according to the scheme laid down by the University. Every paper is of 100 marks. In every paper for 75% weightage, the evaluation is done through Term End Examination conducted by the University; and for 25% weightage evaluation is carried out through internal/continuous evaluation by the respective faculty within the institute. The degree of MBA to successful students is awarded by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is recognised by the UGC/AICTE.

FEES STRUCTURE

The Institute follows the fee structure as prescribed for the MBA programme for this Institute by the State Fee Regulatory Committee. Fee structure for MBA comprises of the following elements:

Note :  Fee for all the years of course will remain same as of  the academic year of admission taken.

The fee is payable once in a year for the entire academic year in the beginning of the academic session. Part of the first year fee is collected by the GGSIP University and balance of the first year fee is collected by the Institute. In subsequent years the Institute collects the fee and the fee so collected is not refundable. For students admitted under “Management Quota” category, fee is the same as prescribed by the State Fee Regulatory Committee and mentioned above.

REFUND RULES

The refund rules are governed by rules as laid down by the AICTE. If a student withdraws admission after the date of commencement of course and the seat remains vacant, no fee shall be refunded. Security Deposit shall be refunded on completion of the course or on migration/withdrawal by applying for it. The Institute may deduct cost of replacement on account of loss of library book/document or any fine imposed by the Institute due to damage etc done individually/collectively to the property of the Institute or for indiscipline.
