ABOUT THE PROGRAMME Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)

The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme at the Centre for Legal Studies (CLS-GIBS) is a professional undergraduate law degree programme designed to provide students with comprehensive legal education, practical exposure and professional competencies required in the contemporary legal ecosystem.

The programme aims to develop competent legal professionals equipped with strong analytical, advocacy, research, drafting and problem-solving skills essential for success in litigation, corporate law, judiciary and allied legal professions. The curriculum offers an in-depth understanding of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Corporate Law, Labour Law, Administrative Law, Family Law, Environmental Law, Human Rights Law and Intellectual Property Rights. Along with academic learning, students are provided practical exposure through moot courts, legal aid activities, internships, case studies, seminars, workshops and interactions with legal practitioners, academicians and members of the judiciary.

At CLS-GIBS, emphasis is laid on experiential learning, ethical legal practices, communication skills, personality development and professional readiness to prepare students for excellence in the legal profession and contemporary legal environment. APPROVAL & AFFILIATION

The LL.B. programme conducted at Gitarattan International Business School is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, and approved by the competent regulatory authorities as applicable.

The Institute follows all norms and standards prescribed by the concerned authorities regarding infrastructure, faculty, library resources, academic delivery and student support systems.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with the minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and relevant regulatory authorities. Applicable Entrance Examination: GGSIPU CET 2026

Eligibility and admission criteria shall be governed by the applicable rules, regulations and notifications issued by GGSIPU for the academic session 2026–27.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admissions to the LL.B. programme shall be carried out strictly on merit basis as per the admission policy and counselling procedure prescribed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi.

Admission shall be based on the applicable entrance examination or admission criteria notified by the University for the academic session 2026–27.

Candidates are required to participate in the centralized counselling conducted by GGSIPU and select the Institute during the counselling process.

Applicants are advised to refer to the official GGSIPU Admission Brochure and University website www.ipu.ac.in for detailed information regarding admission schedules, counselling procedures, reservation policy and eligibility criteria.

Admissions under Management Quota seats shall be conducted by the Institute as per the applicable guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi and GGSIPU.

EXAMINATION & EVALUATION

The Institute follows the curriculum and examination scheme prescribed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi.

The examination and evaluation process comprises:

• Term End Examinations conducted by the University
• Internal and continuous assessment conducted by the Institute

Internal evaluation includes assignments, presentations, viva voce, class participation, drafting exercises, moot court performance and project work as prescribed under the University scheme.

The degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) is awarded by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, upon successful completion of the programme.

FEES STRUCTURE

The Institute follows the fee structure as prescribed for the Integrated BBA-LLB(H) programmes for this Institute by the State Fee Regulatory Committee. Fee structure for Integrated BBA-LLB(H) comprises of the following elements:

*The Fee is under revision and will be payable as the notification of SFRC and GGSIPU.

The fee is payable once in a year for the entire academic year in the beginning of the academic session. Part of the first year fee is collected by the GGSIP University and balance of the first year fee is collected by the Institute. In subsequent years the Institute collects the fee and the fee so collected is not refundable. For students admitted under “Management Quota” category, fee is the same as prescribed by the State Fee Regulatory Committee and mentioned above.

REFUND RULES

The refund rules shall be governed by the applicable norms, regulations and guidelines issued by GGSIPU, UGC and other competent authorities from time to time.

Security Deposit shall be refundable subject to clearance of dues, if any, as per Institute norms.

The syllabus and curriculum structure for the LL.B. programme shall be as prescribed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, and updated from time to time in accordance with academic, professional and regulatory requirements.
