ABOUT THE PROGRAMME- LLM

The LL.M. (One Year) programme at the Centre for Legal Studies (CLS), Gitarattan International Business School (GIBS) is designed for ambitious law graduates looking to gain advanced legal expertise and fast-track their careers. With 20 seats each in three high-demand specializations—Corporate Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and Criminal Justice System (CJS)—the programme offers in-depth learning, practical exposure, and a strong academic foundation.

Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), this intensive postgraduate programme blends academic rigor with real-world application. The reservation policy of Govt of NCT of Delhi is applied for allocation of seats to various categories. The reservation policy stipulates 10% seats for “Management Quota”. Out of the remaining 90%, 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Further reservation for specific categories is as per the guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for Enrollment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University, with not less than 55% marks.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

All applicants are required to appear in Common Law Admission Test – Postgraduate CLAT (PG) 2026 that is conducted by National Law University or CUET (PG) 2026 that is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) respectively.

EXAMINATION & EVALUATION

Institute follows the curriculum as laid down by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The examination and evaluation is carried out according to the scheme laid down by the University. Every paper is of 100 marks. In every paper for 60 % weightage, the evaluation is done through Term End Examination conducted by the University; and for 40% weightage evaluation is carried out through internal/continuous evaluation by the respective faculty within the institute. The degree of LLM to successful students is awarded by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

The Institute follows the fee structure as prescribed for the LLM programme for this Institute by the State Fee Regulatory Committee. Fee structure for LLM comprises of the following elements:
