The Campus has a 7 story building, covering an area of 2700.05 sq. meters, and provides best state of the art infrastructure in terms of well stocked library, centrally air conditioned auditorium and well equipped lab with latest technology. The campus is totally wi Fi and is connected to dedicated to 1:1 Internet lease line of 4 Mbps provided by Spectra net and two Airtel 512 Kbps broadband lines for round the clock Internet connectivity , accessed through a microwave tower installed in the campus.

Ankit Fadia, Cyber Security Guru, visited giBS for one day National Seminar on CYBER SECURITY. He kept the audience spell bound with a very interesting talk on cyber security threats and its counter measures.

Case Folio

 

Gitarattan International Business School, Rohini, organized its Sixth “National Case Presentation and Research Paper Competition” Case Folio 2011 on 15th October’ 2011. In all, 48 teams from across the country were registered out of which 10 Best Teams were selected for the final round. Similarly, research papers were reviewed by a committee of experts and the 10 Best Papers were selected for presentation in front of the judges, faculty members & students.

Gitarattan International Business School organized its annual cultural fest ZENITH-2012 on 27th and 28th January, 2012 with the theme to Explore, Experience and Excel. The two day gala event was full of action with a live and great audience creating a memorable annual festival. Hundreds of students from Delhi and IP University attended the Fest this year.

Excitement, Fun and Frolic define the Inter-house Competition of the institution. The fest was held on the 24-25th January, 2012 with a variety of cultural and sports activities for the students to display their talents.

The First day was full of events like LAN Games, IT Quiz, Business Quiz, Business Plan Competition, Treasure hunt etc. The second day was the day of cultural events where events like Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Duet Singing,Rangoli making competition and the most awaited Mr & Ms “ Zenith” were held. Meri Dilli, Financial Express, Salam Namaste and Siti Cable were the media partners for the entire event with a hoard of other sponsors like Bikano, Domino’s, Cengage Learning, Ane Books, Ceitix, Madam Innerwear, VLCC, Ice Age Skating Cafe, Golden Spoon and many more. The whole fest was rounded up with the enjoyable Jam session.

Case pedagogy is a very popular mode used to enhance the application of management concepts. A number of B-Schools the world over are using case pedagogy as a strong alternative to the pure “chalk and talk” mode. It is an effective simulation for management students to develop knowledge base, chisel skills and apply theoretical tools and techniques. In today’s environment, there is also a strong need to inculcate the research activities among the students and the faculty members. To promote the same, Gitarattan International Business School, Rohini, organized the Sixth “National Case Presentation and Research Paper Competition” on October 15, 2011. In all, 48 teams from across the country were registered out of which 10 Best Teams were selected for the final round. Similarly, research papers were reviewed by a committee of experts and the 10 Best Papers were selected for presentation in front of the judges, faculty members & students. Prof. K.C Sethi (Former Professor, IIM Kolkata, Dean MDI and Director, IMT) was the Chief Guest. The panel of judges comprised of eminent personalities from the field of academics and corporate. Galgotias Business School won the 1st Prize of Rs,10,000/-. IMED, Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune bagged the 2nd Prize worth Rs, 7,500/- and Gitarattan International Buisness School, Rohini bagged the 3rd prize worth Rs. 5,000/- for the Case Presentation Competition. Ms. Nidhi Sinha of Jaypee Institute of Management, Greater Noida was the winner of the Research Paper Presentation. Vice Chairman, Mr. Anirudh Jindal and Director Dr. S.S. Narula congratulated the winning teams.

 3rd Convocation for the graduating batch of MBA 2007-2009  was held  on 21st Auguest, 2010. Shri Ashwani Kumar –Director, CBI Government of India and Mr. A.S. Awasthi, IAS (Retd.)  presided over the convocation.  

Mr. Anirudh Jindal, Vice Chairman giBS welcomed the distinguished guests and complemented the students on the successful completion of their Post Graduation.  Shri. R.N. Jindal, Chairman, giBS, in his presidential address congratulated the students and advised them to become business leaders with values and ethics.

Dr. S. S. Narula, Director, giBS took the opportunity to congratulate the graduating batch and added, “Over a short span of time, giBS has acquired a prominent position among Institutes affiliated to GGSIPU.  It is a matter of pride for us that our results were the best in the University for the Academic year 2009-10. I congratulate students and faculty for their hard work and perseverance towards academics and the Institute.”

In an outstanding achievement, the graduating batch of MBA of giBS reaffirmed the institute’s capability to produce effective managers.  Shubra Saxena was awarded the gold medal for being first in the order of merit, while, Ritika Mittal and Swati Narula received silver and bronze medal for attaining second and third position respectively. 83 students out of batch strength of 85, students attained the 1st division in the University.

Speaking on the momentous occasion, CBI Director, Mr. Ashwani Kumar, congratulated the graduating batch and sharing his formula of success and said, “That success can be applied by by the formula of H2O i.e. Hardwork, Honesty & Obedience and by adopting the major properties of water which are to be transparent and adaptable in all  the aspects of life.

There are few days in life when one is truly elated. The first day in the college is one of them. They enter this new phase of professional life with a lot of apprehensions, anxiety, anticipations and hopes related to the unknown world ready to welcome them. The Orientation Program serves as a gateway to this new world of aspirations and dreams. As said by Joel Osteen, “Do All You Can to Make Your Dreams come true”. With the aim of stimulating and facilitating students to realize their dreams, giBS conducted its orientation program ‘The Prelude’ on 8th August, 2011 for the new students of MBA and MCA. Students were addressed by Dr. S.S Narula, Director of the institution. He invigorated the students with his inspirational words and asked the young future leaders to gear up for the challenge of creating a niche for themselves in the corporate community. He also acquainted the students with the important information about the curriculum, institute norms and general administration. It was followed by a briefing relating to the General Student Conduct Rules by the administrative officer and the details of the placement by the Placement Officer. Later on, HOD’s of MBA and MCA discussed the various academic nitty-gritty with the students.

Inter House Competitions were held on 24th -25th January 2012 .All the events were full of action with active participation from the students with great and live audience making these memorable . The First day was dedicated to the sporting events like Chess, Tug of War, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Carom, Pool etc. The second day comprised of cultural events like Solo and Duet Singing, Solo and Group Dance, Skit, Rangoli making competition and the most awaited Mr. & Ms. “giBS” . Ms. Anika & Mr. Prateek were crowned as Ms & Mr giBS respectively. Brillancia House was awarded the winner trophy amongst the four houses.

Despite chilling weather, the conference brought together corporate leaders, distinguished academics, research scholars and students from the global arena who shared the latest research and exchanged ideas in an intimate environment. Prof. Dilip. K. Bandyopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University inaugurated the event and released the fourth volume of giBS refereed journal ‘Journal of Global Information and Business Strategy (J-GIBS)’. Sh.R.N.Jindal, Chairman giBS facilitated the event and greeted the panel of experts. Dr. S. S. Narula, Director, giBS also welcomed the participants and stressed the earnest need of shifting from the concept of ‘self sufficient nations’ to the concept of ‘global village’. The conference concluded with the Valedictory address by Dr. S.P.S.Bakshi, Chairman and Managing Director, Engineering Projects India Ltd who congratulated the best presenter and best paper awardees. The conference was undoubtedly a huge success as the institute received over 100 papers from Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, General Management & Information Technology: out of which the best 41 papers were published in the Conference Proceedings of giBS.
