Dedicated Core faculty       

Gitarattan has well qualified regular 64 faculty members, which form its backbone for the delivery of knowledge.  A blend of research (with 22 PhD holders) and industry experience makes the teaching team a formidable strength.   The syllabus prescribed by the University is systematically planned and delivered by dedicated team.  

Pedagogy                                                         

While imparting high quality education, Gitarattan focuses on all round growth of students.  GIBS endeavours to groom business leaders and computer science professionals, who can respond effectively to challenging opportunities in a corporate world that are changing faster than ever before.  Case Studies, Tutorials, Presentations, Role Plays, Debates, Panel/Group Discussions etc form integral part of methods of Teaching-Learning.  In this endeavour the Institute derives full advantage of information technology by equipping with audio visual training aids and integrating systems and processes with ERP systems.    

Personality Development          

Special attention is given to the personality development of students by integrating professionally developed Personality Development Module with the curriculum.  The focus is on developing Communication and Self Management Skills.  Development of Self Management Skills focuses on Corporate Needs from Professionals such as Goal Setting; Positive Attitude Development; Building Self Confidence & Self-Esteem; Time Management; Problem Solving & Team Building; Etiquette, Manners & Grooming; Values, Ethics in Professional & Personal Life; Group Behaviour Skills; Understanding Emotions, Stress & Motivation and their Management in Job Situations; Leadership Issues & Challenges in Job Scenario and Counselling Sessions. 

Besides classroom training and exercises on the above dimensions, students undergo Eleven Workshops.   These workshops are delivered by experts from Corporate. 

Foreign Language    

For enhancing students' international positioning Institute has enriched the syllabi by incorporating foreign language, French. 

Corporate Orientation of Training                                            

Institute carries out many activities to orient students to think, acquire knowledge and learn to compete about the various facets of corporate functioning, viz.

Case Folio:  Case Folio is an annual Inter-College National Case Analysis & Presentation Competition, where students from various colleges participate.  High value cash awards are distributed to the students.  

Industry Analysis: Students carry out detailed analysis of various industries in teams on aspects such as Evolution and Growth of the Industry, Market Size of Industry (National & international companies, Key players, Geographical spread, Turnover), Composition and Product-mix (Industry characteristics-Capacity, Import and Export, Product and Technology), Outlook (Performance, Environment Analysis, Growth potential, Career opportunities).  This helps the students to acquire larger picture of contemporary placement scenario in each industry.  

National Competition on Summer Internship Project:  Each student conducts summer internship and submits a project report.  Inter-College Summer Internship Project Competition is conducted for presentation of analysis of various companies from each class level to national level. This helps the students to analyse best practices and benchmarks followed by the different business organizations and creates an environment for interaction between academia and industry. 

National Business Plan Competition:  To orient the students to think on the lines of business in general and to develop entrepreneurial skills in particular, Business Plan Development and presentation exercise is contacted from classroom level to national level.  This exercise helps students to grasp each nuance of managing business organisations and hones their skills to become entrepreneur.

Corporate Guest Lecture Series:  To bring students face-to-face with corporate leaders, Corporate Lecture Series are conducted, which not only provides them a platform to interact but exposes them to corporate expectations and requirements.

Industrial Visits:  Students along with faculty members regularly visit various companies during the ‘Industrial Tours’ to expose them to real business environment, interact with people from shop floor level to highest level, understand various practices followed in real environment and share the learning with the peer group.  Students of Gitarattan have visited many companies such as Maruti, JCB, Gold Plus Glass manufacturers, Somani Tiles, Narora Atomic Power Plant, Ginni International, AVA Apparels, Air cargo Terminal at IGI Delhi, and many more.

Summer Internship 

Summer Internship forms an integral part of the development of students in their quest for placement.  Summer Internship at Gitarattan is carried out as an exercise in ‘Integrated Learning’ where students spend 6-8 weeks at the companies.  In this process, students work under a faculty guide along with company level supervisor.  Students get inside of the company to have first-hand experience with the corporate culture, its environment, carry out systematic analysis and link theory with the practices on ground.  Students get exposure to companies of all sectors of economy such as insurance, banking, construction, finance, capital, share market, information technology and many more. 

Summer Internship intimately helps the students to plan & prepare on various facets of personality and finally in placement.

Placements                             

Institute-Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC) takes special care to provide placement assistance to all the students.  A dedicated team of professionals manage this activity at IIPC.   For this purpose campus and off campus placement exercises are conducted.
